Ayton saves the day
The Cabaret Night event of the 2nd Norwich International Festival of Puppet Theatre was saved by Ayton Products' donation of a standard barrel.
How a barrel helps a puppet show was revealed by Diego Stirman's performance of 'Vietnamese Water Puppetry' - with the aid of a mask and a couple of socks!
This parody of the refined and beautiful form of puppetry brought the (full) house down and drew appreciative comments from the Lord and Lady Mayor, and Sheriff and Lady Sheriff of Norwich.
Ian Woods - General Manager of Norwich Puppet Theatre - said: "Support from local companies is a crucial part of the cultural scene in Norfolk - be it financial or, as in this case, support in kind.
"Without Ayton's help with the barrel this part of the show could not have gone ahead and we would all have missed a wonderfully entertaining piece of theatre."
Argentinian born Diego Stirman is now based in Paris.
