£1,000+ raised for Breast Cancer Campaign

Daniel Farrington, our Bitumen Products Sales Office Administrator, had no trouble getting into the swing of things on 'Wear It Pink' day on Friday 26 October!

Wear it pink is the biggest event during Breast Cancer Awareness Month (October) and since its launch the event has raised £6.6 million. The Breast Cancer Campaign asked everyone in the UK to don an item of pink on Friday 26 October and donate £2 each, to help the Charity continue its search for a cure for breast cancer.

It proved to be a huge success with individuals, companies, hospitals, local authorities, universities and schools the length and breadth of the country 'wearing it pink' to show their support.

May Gurney and Ayton Products employees based at Trowse, Wymondham, York and Stevenage raised £512.94 for the charity. The May Gurney Charities Committee matched the amount raised, meaning a grand total of £1,025.88 is going to the charity.
