Mike Overland

Mike OverlandIt is with sadness that we record the passing of Mike Overland, a former long serving employee of Ayton Asphalte Co Limited. Mike started at the company in 1957 following two years National Service, quickly rising to the position of Factory Manager, a role he proudly held until his retirement in 2002.

Mike will be fondly remembered as a cheerful, conscientious and industrious colleague, always willing to help if he could and with an infectious laugh.

The esteem in which he is held was shown by the number of ex and current employees of Ayton Asphalte and Ayton Products who attended his funeral at Carlton Road Baptist Church. Our thoughts are with his family.
