The Bitumen team
 Stephen Collins – Operations Manager
Stephen Collins joined Ayton Products as a Chemist in 1988 after previously working as a technician in the higher education, gas and nuclear power industries.
Stephen was promoted to Technical and Production Manager in 2006 and Operations Manager in 2008 on assuming additional responsibility for logistics and distribution.
A first class honours graduate in Physical Sciences of the Open University, Stephen has also been awarded an MSc in Colloid Chemistry by the University of East Anglia and has conducted postgraduate research at the same institution into the synthesis and characterisation of cationic surfactants used in bituminous highways construction.
A Chartered Chemist – Member of the Royal Society of Chemistry and Chartered Physicist and Member of the Institute of Physics - Stephen has sat on a number of technical committees within the highways construction industry, including BBA HiTAC (Highways Industries Technical Advisory Committee), Energy Institute ST-E (Bitumen Committee) and the Technical Committee of the Road Emulsion Association Limited.

Jon Hood – Sales Manager
Jon joined the business in 1989 and has extensive manufacturing, roofing and construction industry experience.
His responsibilities include: business development and management of the bitumen and SSP sales and procurement office; day to day transport liaison; and the SSP, bitumen and roofing products sales teams based at Wymondham and Cambridge. Jon also has operational and commercial responsibility for the Trade Centres at Wymondham and Cambridge.
He is focussed on key account management, and with his team strives to offer friendly, efficient and approachable customer service.
Jon is a Member of the Chartered Management Institute.

Robert Nelson – Product Manager
Robert joined Ayton Products as a Development Technician in 2003 after previously working as an Analytical Chemist and Research Scientist in the food industry.
Robert is a Bachelor of Science and has wide ranging experience in Quality Assurance and Process Investigation and Development.
Promoted to Product Manager in 2006, his role includes all of the manufacturing and quality assurance processes associated with the production of bitumen emulsions and bituminous products, as well as distribution and SHE compliance.

Mick O'Donnell - Trade Centre Manager, Cambridge
Michael joined the business in 2001 to operate the Bitumen Products' Cambridge Trade Centre.
Michael has a strong civil engineering background and is responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day running of a busy facility, servicing trade and retail customers in the roofing and highways maintenance sectors.

Sue Harvey - Bitumen Senior Administrator
Sue has worked for the company for more than 20 years and her vast experience in the industry is well recognised.
She is responsible for the running of the administrative function of the busy Bitumen Products' Sales Office, dealing with all customer enquiries, invoicing and after sales service.

Daniel Farrington - Internal Sales Representative
Daniel joined the Bitumen Products' Sales Office team in 2001 as a Sales Administrator and quickly gained an all round in depth knowledge of the products and their applications.
Promoted to Internal Sales Representative in 2009, as well as dealing with customer sales at all levels, Daniel is responsible for the procurement of the raw materials required for product manufacture, and for factored goods for re-sale.
Daniel is an active member of the Ayton Products Employee Forum, sits on the Innovations Committee and is the Ayton Products Environmental Champions’ representative.
